Overview
Caring & energetic Personal Assistant wanted for a bright, funny 13-year-old boy with quadriplegic cerebral palsy. He uses a wheelchair full-time, has epilepsy (fully controlled) and a shunt. The role is based in the family’s countryside home in West Chiltington, working four days a week from 4pm to 8pm (flexible finish times, with a 4pm start essential to support his after-school routine). The family is friendly, with a twin brother and two dogs; Mum is nearby to offer guidance. Driving licence and own vehicle are required for travel in a wheelchair-adapted vehicle and for commuting to a rural location.
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and enthusiastic PA who can provide thoughtful, hands-on care and engage in positive companionship with the boy and, on Mondays when he is not home, his twin brother who has learning difficulties.
Duties
* Medication prompting/administering
* Personal grooming
* Eating and drinking assistance
* Moving and handling
* Other relevant duties as required
* Cooking
* Transportation

Requirements & Logistics
* Hours per week: 4 days a week, 4pm–8pm (flexible finish times). Additional hours available during summer holidays
* Hourly pay rate: Employed - £15; self-employed - to be determined
* Location: West Chiltington, rural setting
* Full UK driving licence is essential; using the family’s wheelchair-adapted vehicle
* Own vehicle needed to commute to the home
* Comfort around animals (family has two friendly dogs)
* Right to work in the UK; Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check may be required
