Family Link Worker (HLTA Level)
Permanent - Term Time Only
Part-time (up to 35 hours per week over 5 days, fewer days or hours will be considered)
5 inset days attendance required per year
Salary: BG12 SCP30 (FTE £42,839)
Are you passionate about supporting families, building positive relationships, and helping children thrive? Elmlea Schools are looking for a dedicated Parent / Family Link Worker at HLTA level to strengthen our partnership with families and support pupils’ wellbeing, attendance, and learning.
As part of our inclusive and nurturing community — where Kindness, Respect, and Community are at the heart of all we do — you will work closely with pupils, families, staff, and external agencies to remove barriers to learning and promote positive outcomes for all children.
Key responsibilities include:
•Building strong relationships with parents/carers and pupils to support engagement and wellbeing.
•Supporting attendance, behaviour, and family needs with sensitivity and professionalism.
•Signposting and liaising with external services to help families access support.
•Delivering learning activities and targeted support in line with HLTA standards.
•Promoting the school’s values and inclusive ethos through effective communication and partnership.
The ideal candidate will:
•Hold HLTA status (or equivalent experience)
•Have experience working with children and families, ideally in a school or community setting
•Demonstrate strong safeguarding knowledge and a child-centred approach
•Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and external professionals
•Be empathetic, organised, and able to manage sensitive situations confidently
