We are looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our in-house clinical team at Syon Grange school. Working collaboratively with the education team, you will deliver bespoke Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention to pupils who may have experienced developmental trauma, be neurodivergent or have SEMH needs. You will work within the standards provided in the OFG Occupational Therapy Ways of Working. This will guide your practice within an education setting and clarify your roles and responsibilities, while taking into account the requirements of your governing and professional bodies. You will be given responsibility for holding an occupational therapy caseload, with the full support of your designated clinical supervisor and site lead, also contributing to staff training and consultation as required.
Responsibilities
* Deliver bespoke Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention to pupils in an education setting.
* Hold and manage an occupational therapy caseload with supervision and contributions to staff training and consultation.
* Collaborate with education teams and other professionals to support pupil independence and outcomes.
* Support the development of Apprentices, students and therapy assistants as part of the service.
* Contribute to safeguarding and maintain a person-centred approach.
Essential Criteria
* Recognised Occupational Therapy degree
* Valid and up to date HCPC Registration
* Registered member of RCOT
* Experience providing occupational therapy services in a similar setting (preferred)
* Experience with neurodivergent pupils and/or SEMH difficulties; transferable skills
* Knowledge of OT theory and practical application to support independence
* Experience of multi-professional work within the designated specialty (preferred)
* Ability to work independently, flexible and confident; clear and concise report writing
* Full UK driving licence with access to a car
* Interest in sensory integration or SI practice (training in progress or completed preferred, not essential)
Location and Hours
Location: Syon Grange – Isleworth, London, TW7 5AJ (with flexibility to work across Hillingdon Manor sites)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday; hours to overlap with core school hours. Part-time hours may be considered.
Contract and Benefits
* Permanent contract (term time only, or flexibility around full-time contract discussed)
* Salary: Up to £53,200 FTE DOE plus £5,000 Welcome Bonus ( payable as £2,500 after one month and £2,500 after probation). Basic/Specialist/Highly Specialist salary bands apply.
* CPD: £2,000 training allowance after probation

* Work pattern: 80% of hours for 100% pay (if applicable)
