An established and highly respected MEP contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join a flagship commercial development in the City of London.
This is a long-term opportunity (18 months+) on a high-profile scheme with an MEP package circa £40m, covering a combination of shell & core and high spec fit out works.
The Opportunity
You’ll be joining a contractor with a long-standing reputation for delivering complex building services projects across London and Europe, operating across sectors including commercial offices, infrastructure, life sciences and data centres.
They are known for delivering technically challenging schemes, large-scale project values, and fully integrated MEP solutions from design through to commissioning
With a strong pipeline of secured work, this role offers both project stability and future progression onto upcoming flagship schemes.
The Role
As Electrical Project Engineer, you will play a key role in driving delivery on site, working closely with senior project leadership and subcontractors.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting the Electrical Project Manager in delivery of a major MEP package
* Managing and coordinating electrical subcontractors and specialist packages
* Overseeing installation quality, compliance, and technical standards
* Driving programme, sequencing, and short-term planning
* Reviewing technical submittals, drawings, and design coordination
* Managing RFIs, variations, and technical queries
* Ensuring HSE standards and site processes are maintained
* Supporting commissioning, snagging, and handover processes
* Liaising with main contractor, consultants, and client-side teams
What They’re Looking For
* Proven experience as an Electrical Project Engineer on Commercial projects
* Strong background in Shell & Core and/or CAT A / CAT B fit out
* Experience working on large-scale MEP packages (£20m+ ideally)
* Good technical knowledge of electrical building services systems
* Strong communication and coordination skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment
