Registered Manager We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity here at Potens for a Registered Manager to lead our brand-new children’s residential care home supporting up to 3 children in Longton, Preston. This is a unique chance to be at the forefront of launching and shaping a new Ofsted-registered service for children and young people with learning disabilities, autism, or mental health needs. What we’ll give you: Salary: Circa £50,000 per annum Full time 40 hours per week with flexible working arrangements offered to meet both the needs of your lifestyle and the business 25 days 8 bank holidays paid each year Contributory pension scheme Confidential, supportive Employee Assistance Programme, accessible 24/7 Paid comprehensive learning and development opportunities – including internal leadership sessions and recognised qualifications Access to attractive and exclusive employee benefits, including savings on shopping, leisure, and household expenses What you’ll be doing: You will lead and develop a new residential care home supporting up to three children and young people with complex needs Build and shape a positive, therapeutic environment Set and uphold high standards of care and practice, ensuring full Ofsted compliance Work closely with a Consultant Psychotherapist to embed trauma-informed, person-centred support strategies Oversee daily operations including staff management, rotas, budgets, health & safety, and care planning Inspire, supervise and mentor a passionate team to deliver safe, nurturing and outcomes-focused care Forge strong partnerships with families, professionals, and external agencies to deliver the best outcomes for each child Who you are: You’re an experienced, passionate, and compassionate leader who is ready for a fresh challenge A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or working towards) At least 2 years’ experience as a Registered Manager in a children’s residential care setting A strong understanding of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and quality standards A proven track record of supporting young people with learning disabilities, autism or mental ill health Exceptional leadership, communication, and team development skills A drive to build something special – a service that truly transforms lives Who we are: We are a national provider of health, social and education services with over 35 years’ experience.
