This role is based within a specialist education or alternative provision setting, supporting pupils with SEMH needs, trauma, attachment difficulties and challenging behaviour.This is an ideal role for candidates with experience in children's social care, youth work, mentoring, behaviour support or alternative provision, who are passionate about helping vulnerable pupils re-engage with education.Key Responsibilities - Mentor / SEMH Support Role
* Provide 1:1 and small-group mentoring for pupils with complex social, emotional and behavioural needs
* Support pupils who have been permanently excluded from mainstream education
* Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation and engagement with learning
* Use trauma-informed, restorative and de-escalation strategies
* Act as a consistent, positive role model and trusted adult
* Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff and external professionals
