The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for an Accounts Assistant who is either AAT qualified or currently studying AAT. Based at their Burgess Hill office, youll join a friendly and collaborative finance team, supporting day-to-day accounting tasks and contributing to the smooth running of the department. This role suits someone with a strong accounts background, excellent accuracy, and great organisational skills.
This is a challenging and varied role which offers excellent exposure to a variety of accounts functions including sales ledger, purchase ledger, credit control, reconciliations, VAT and preparing monthly payment runs.
Key Responsibilities
Assisting with daily accounting operations within the finance team
Reconciling purchase ledger accounts to supplier statements
Processing and accurately coding invoices
Raising invoices
Processing supplier invoices
Supporting month-end activities and reporting requirements
Handling supplier and internal queries professionally and efficiently
Maintaining accurate financial documentation and records
Providing general support to the wider finance function as required
Desirable Skills & Experience
AAT qualified or currently studying AAT
Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook (advanced Excel skills desirable)
Previous accounts experience, ideally purchase ledger
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organisational and time-management skills
A confident communicator who enjoys working as part of a team
