Purpose of the Role

Join the Fodder team during an exciting expansion of our catering services. Ideal for a Chef De Partie seeking career growth, this role involves managing daily kitchen operations, supporting Fodder Takeaway, and delivering top-quality Yorkshire dishes. You will work within a small team to ensure successful food service and prepare products for the shop and deli.


Working Pattern

40 hours/week, 5 days out of 7, day shifts, no split shifts.


Key Responsibilities

* Support and manage daily kitchen operations within a busy team.
* Assist in running food service throughout the day and for special evening events.
* Prepare, cook, and present food maintaining high standards and understanding margins.
* Work diligently in a small team, sharing a passion for quality food and service.
* Collaborate with the Head Chef on stock management and daily specials using surplus ingredients.
* Ensure food hygiene standards are met, including portion control and garnishes.
* Manage kitchen staff alongside the Kitchen Manager & Assistant Kitchen Manager, following company policies.
* Train and support team members continually.
* Assist in maintaining high customer satisfaction and resolve complaints.
* Adhere to health and safety regulations and complete HACCP paperwork to maintain 5-star hygiene standards.
* Coordinate with the Cafe team for smooth food orders and service.
* Order stock, manage rotation, minimize wastage, and promote local Yorkshire suppliers.
* Plan and execute successful events with the Catering Management team.
* Be a key holder, fire warden, and first aider (training provided).
* Promote fairness, equality, and embody the Society’s values.

Note: Duties may evolve over time without changing the role’s core responsibilities.


Experience & Qualifications

* Good written and verbal communication skills.
* Food Safety Level 2 qualification; First Aid and Fire Marshal qualifications are preferable.
