Job Title : Multi-skilled Engineer - Electrical bias (Static role)This role is a shift-based position which will require the candidate to work on 4 shifts on and 4 off rotation. These shifts will rotate between days and nights. Job review:-Responsible to a Shift Leader for undertaking electrical/mechanical works on a wide range of building services reactive and planned maintenance throughout the London Estate. The work is undertaken on a shift basis to ensure 24hr cover for the London Estate. All shift teams are to beplementary with a balance of electrical and mechanical support across the sites. High standard of planned preventative and reactive maintenance.
Able to use diagnostic equipment and work from technical manuals and drawings. Able to identify visual plant defects, warning lights and indicators.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. City & Guilds craft certificate/ONC etc.
2. Recognised craft apprenticeship
3. Training certificate for IEE 18th Edition
4. Two years post-apprenticeship experience in a similar role.
5. C&G 2391 or equivalent desirable
6. Full-in-depth, intrusive security checks to bepleted for the successful candidate
The ideal candidate would have appropriate up-to-date training such as an NVQ Level 3 qualification in Engineering Maintenance (multidiscipline) and have good knowledge of building Statutorypliance. They will need to be responsible for themselves and others to maintain a safe working environment as per the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974). They need to be able to read and understand technical drawings, have good problem-solving and decision-making skills and be able tomunicate effectively, verbally and written.Suitable training may be given when needed to ensure that the candidate ispetent to achieve the skills required.
