Landscape Architect / Landscape Planner
Location: Edinburgh, Scotland (Hybrid working available)
Position Type: Full-time, Permanent

About the Role
The role is well-suited to someone looking to deepen their experience in both design and planning, supporting projects from inception through to delivery. You'll be part of a collaborative, multi-skilled team and have the opportunity to contribute to a wide range of development and landscape projects.
The successful applicant will:
1. Be a qualified Landscape Architect (or on the Pathway to Chartership)
2. Have experience or strong interest in Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA), strategic masterplanning, landscape capacity studies, and design for planning
3. Work on all stages of development, producing high-quality documentation and supporting planning applications
Key Responsibilities:
4. Produce and coordinate technical drawings, reports, and landscape planning documents across various project phases
5. Prepare LVIA and supporting reports to aid planning applications
6. Contribute to feasibility studies, design strategies, and masterplans
7. Support the coordination of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA)
8. Liaise with planning authorities and stakeholders to support project delivery
9. Assist with project management and coordination tasks, including policy research and documentation preparation
10. Work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Required Qualifications & Skills:
11. Degree in Landscape Architecture
12. Minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience
13. Chartered membership of the Landscape Institute or working towards it (Pathway to Chartership)
14. Excellent report writing and verbal communication skills
15. Strong design and graphic presentation skills using:
16. VectorWorks (preferred) or AutoCAD
17. Adobe Creative Suite
18. SketchUp
19. Microsoft Office 365
Preferred Experience:
20. Proven experience delivering work for LVIAs and planning applications
21. Ability to integrate climate resilience and placemaking principles into design
22. Knowledge of the planning process and strategic development projects in the UK
23. Experience supporting bids, proposals, and client-facing documentation
