Multi-Trade Engineer

Re-Gen UK are a growing provider of construction and refurbishment services, and we are looking for a skilled and reliable Multi-Trade Engineer to join our expanding team covering Essex and London. This is a self-employed role ideal for a motivated individual who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service.
The successful candidate will be experienced across multiple trades and capable of working independently while maintaining strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out a wide range of repair, maintenance, and refurbishment works across residential and commercial properties
* Complete multi-trade jobs using basic carpentry, electrical, and plumbing skills
* Diagnose faults and determine the most effective repair solution
* Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
* Conduct pre- and post-work checks to ensure quality and compliance
* Communicate professionally with clients, tenants, and internal teams while on-site
* Maintain accurate records of completed works and materials used
* Follow health and safety regulations and company policies at all times
* Manage your workload effectively to meet scheduled appointments
Skills & Attributes
* Strong all-round trade knowledge with the ability to confidently complete multi-trade tasks
* Competency in basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work
* Excellent problem-solving skills with a practical mindset
* Reliable, organised, and able to work independently
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
* Professional and customer-focused approach
* The drive to make things happen and complete jobs efficiently
* Comfortable using mobile devices or digital systems to receive and update jobs
Qualifications & Experience
* Proven experience in a multi-trade role within construction, maintenance, or social housing
* Relevant trade qualifications are advantageous but not essential with strong demonstrable experience
* Good understanding of health and safety practices
* Full UK driving licence preferred
