Research Quality and Support Officer - 15433
CHMLS Central Office is looking to recruit a highly motivated, organised, proactive individual to the new post of Research Quality and Support Officer within our College Research Office.
Location: Brunel University London, Uxbridge Campus
Salary: Grade 7 from: £39,607 to £46,771 inclusive of London Weighting, with potential to progress to £50,858 per annum inclusive of London Weighting. (Pro-rata if Part-time)
Hours: Full-time
Contract Type: Permanent
The College of Health, Medicine & Life Sciences contributes significantly to the University’s and the UK’s teaching and research agenda for health and health-related studies, delivering research-led educational programmes across various fields.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to support research activities within our College Research Office, focusing on providing effective support and guidance to academic staff, researchers, and students, fostering a research-active culture.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
1. Developing processes to assess research outputs and impact, supporting high-quality submissions to the Research Excellence Framework.
2. Applying research ethics policies and governance guidelines in the research ethics review process.
We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate:
1. A broad understanding of the research environment and assessment processes.
2. Experience supporting research activities or transferable skills.
3. A commitment to providing high-quality, accessible support to research staff, students, and stakeholders.
4. Excellent planning, organisational, and teamwork skills, with the ability to work under pressure and use initiative.
5. The ability to develop expertise in specific areas and manage their administration successfully.
6. Excellent communication skills across diverse stakeholders.
7. Strong IT and technical skills across various software packages.
