About the Role
Analysts and Medical Writers work on projects involving detailed analysis of data from clinical trials and preparing posters, slide sets, and peer‑reviewed publications. Deliverables are used directly by clients to communicate with external stakeholders, vital to the uptake of novel therapies. Work is structured on a project‑by‑project basis with several projects in different disease areas at any one time.
You will work in project teams alongside experienced colleagues who provide one‑to‑one training in technical aspects, project management, and client communication. After a successful induction, you will increasingly participate in teleconferences and face‑to‑face meetings with external stakeholders.
In this role you’ll join our Medical Communications service area within the Medical Affairs or Publications teams. New team members who work solely on Publications projects will have the job title of Medical Writer; all other new joiners will be called Analysts. You will be allocated a "home" team based on interests, skills, and business needs.
Members of the Publications team collaborate closely with clients and experts to create materials that share scientific findings with broad audiences. Responsibilities include preparing abstracts, manuscripts, posters, and oral presentations for major international conferences, and supporting events. You may also contribute to regulatory documents, plain‑language summaries, and policy‑related publications.
The Medical Affairs team serves as a link between clinical development and commercial departments. Core activities aim to educate, inform clinical decisions, enhance patient care, and collect insights that guide product development. You will engage directly with clients to communicate scientific foundations through medical education events, advisory boards, and medical information resources. Collaboration with expert advisors and event speakers is essential; on‑site support may involve international travel.
You may also collaborate with teams outside Medical Communications such as Health Policy, Rare Diseases, or MedTech. If interested, note your preferred teams on your application form.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct detailed analysis of clinical trial data and create materials for different audiences in various formats.
* Collaborate closely with clients, including teleconferences and face‑to‑face meetings.
* Support project management and client communication alongside experienced colleagues.
* Work on several projects across different disease areas concurrently.
* Engage with different teams within the company to develop a broad understanding of service offerings and clients.
Hybrid Working Policy
We believe in face‑to‑face time in the office to maintain community, but also recognize the benefits of homeworking. During probation (first 6 months) you may work from home 1 day per week. After passing probation, you can work from home up to half of your time, measured over a 2‑week rolling period.
