The role
As Fleet Programmes Project Controls Manager you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will be responsible for leading the Project Controls Reporting and Systems Function for the Fleet Operations Directorate and is accountable for the performance and results these functions within the Babcock Role Framework Project Management role family.
Day-to-day, you'll be responsible for:
* Delivery of Fleet Operations Project Controls Reporting and Systems Leadership
* Fleet Operations Business and Customer Interface
* Delivery of Fleet Operations Directorate Business Forecasts
* Internal assurance activities including audits to advance continuous improvement
* Management and Delivery of Stage and Gate
* Application of Babcock's Principles in people and stakeholder management
This role is full time 36 hours per week and is based mainly in Faslane with the hybrid working arrangements.
Essential experience of Fleet Programmes Project Controls Manager
* Extensive Project & Systems Controls knowledge and experience
* Hold a professional project qualification such as APM (PMQ) or Prince 2
* Hold membership of a relevant body (RICS/CIOB/CIBSE/APM/PMI)
* Hold a level 5 or above Leadership and Management qualification
Qualifications for the Fleet Programmes Risk and Change Control
* Degree BSc - Business Degree (finance / Accountancy or other relevant subject) or equivalent.
* Experience - In addition to the above, the candidate will have significant experience with responsibility for control functions of major projects
* Chartered or working towards chartered status with a relevant body
* APM Project Professional Qualification
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
