Overview
TNS is currently looking to recruit an Application Support Analyst to join a small, dedicated team responsible for providing technical application support and engineering, technical solutions across our new Payment Orchestration gateway platform. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical knowledge or detailed payments support experience who wants to apply, learn, and be challenged in our expanding Payments Processing business.
Responsibilities
* Provide day-to-day support for the new Orchestration payment gateway within an AWS environment.
* Support and manage the production payments application gateway across multiple regions.
* Manage and resolve incident tickets for the 3rd line support team.
* Conduct root cause analysis for Major Incidents.
* Plan and support Release and Change Management activities in production.
* Support the Problem Management process.
* Perform application housekeeping and maintenance tasks, including working with database technologies such as MariaDB, Aurora, DynamoDB, and MySQL.
* Become an expert on supported systems, applications, and services.
* Support security and cryptography services within production.
* Create Work Instructions (WI) and update service documentation.
* Support PCI DSS compliance efforts.
* Assist with Disaster Recovery activities.
* Participate in a 24/7 on-call rota.
* Collaborate with different teams, sharing knowledge and supporting team members.
* Provide training, knowledge transfer, and ongoing support to 1st and 2nd line support teams.
Qualifications
Essential
* Several years of experience with Linux-based systems.
* Experience working within an AWS environment.
* Knowledge of:
* General SQL administration and support.
* Setting up maintenance tasks.
* Running queries against database tables.
* Excellent problem-solving skills.
Desirable
* Experience with Docker or Kubernetes, including Istio, within AWS.
* Supporting Java-based applications.
* General Payments experience and supporting payment switches.
* Knowledge of the ITIL framework.
