Overview
18 hours per week. shifts: Tuesday 16:00–22:00, Wednesday 16:00–22:00, Thursday 16:00–22:00 on main reception. The post is Receptionist / Ward Clerk within Perinatal Services based at New Cross Hospital to cover in all other areas within the unit Maternity / Neonates.
Responsibilities
* Undertake various clerical / reception and appointment duties in connection with the administration processes within Women and Neonatal services.
* Administer clinic preparation, appointments, updating PAS demographics for all ward transactions (admitting / discharging etc.).
* Filing, appointment booking, CNC, scanning, and related duties.
* Work in outpatient reception areas and ward reception areas; flexible and able to cover in the absence of colleagues.
* Demonstrate initiative in organizing workloads and taking decisions/actions within clearly defined limits.
* Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
Requirements / Skills
* Excellent communication skills both face to face and over the telephone.
* Proficiency with keyboard input.
* Mature outlook when dealing with sensitive and confidential issues.
