GES are currently looking for a Senior Floorplan Technician to join our Floorplan Department based near the NEC in Birmingham. Job Purpose Project management of multiple clients' technical drawing requirements transforming briefs into technical drawings, ensuring proactive management of service levels and client expectations. What you will do. You will: Proactively manage client floorplans from inception through to completion, taking instructions both verbally/written from clients and account managers. Be able to organise/manage time and give realistic turnaround times of when work will be completed. Transform drawing briefs and sketches into electronic drawings. Liaise with venues to ensure the latest rules & regulations are known & implemented by the team. Be fully competent in AutoCAD with ability to manage full floorplans in AutoCAD software. Manage AutoCAD block library Provide clear accurate advice on venue regulations. Visit sites on a regular basis to ensuring venue knowledge is accurate and develop relationships with venue teams. Manage new & existing venue master template files and work within a team to ensure consistency of drawing library. Manage the control & distribution of drawings internally & externally. Manage mark out dates & drawing requirements. Manage time spent on each plan based on allocated FOC amount per plan. Input & manage all assigned work onto Clarity system. Ensure each floorplan and additional work is invoiced accordingly. Ensure floorplans are registered on CRM via Event Management. Produce bill of material plans/figures when requested. (Clarity system) Promote additional services to clients. Promote fresh, innovative thinking towards client solutions. Relationships You will be required to develop and maintain positive and progressive working relationships both internally and externally, to facilitate growth and integration across the business. You will be required to work collaboratively alongside and provide support to the GES employees/departments and suppliers/exhibitors/organisers. Salary This role offers a competitive salary, dependent on experience. We operate a reward strategy based on our team members receiving a salary that best reflects their experience and skill level. Hours of work This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. You may be required to work evenings and weekends during busy periods to meet the demands of the business, including overseas travel as required. Annual leave Our holiday entitlement is 25 days per annum (plus bank holidays and statutory public holidays).
