Job Title: Security Associate Risk

Location: Barrow-in-Furness. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: Negotiable dependant on experience

What you'll be doing:


* Communicating security risks and issues to business managers and others and then applies and maintains specific security controls as required by organisational policy and local risk assessments
* Collect and collate evidence and key performance indicators as part of a formally conducted and planned review of activities, processes, products or services
* Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders to meet their requirements, including one to one liaison, setting expectations, interacting effectively and confidently with the Business Customers and Security Management
* Provide advice and guidance to business stakeholders on security best practice and application of Security policies and processes in order to ensure compliance and/or risk management facilitating delivery of business objectives
* Gather data, analyse and prepare reports or presentations to feed information back to teams/managers
* Provide advice and guidance on the application of security as appropriate to individual programmes and or functions
* Conduct and support security risk assessments and facilitate remedial activities to improve security performance
* Benchmark and review improved ways of working within Security

Your skills and experiences:

Essential

* Good understanding of analysing and understanding date and turning this data into reports
* Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders
* Understanding of risk assessment processes
* Experience with working with multiple teams to find solution to problems
* Proficiency with IT skills such as MS office packages

Desirable

* Appropriate Security qualification from a certified body, where relevant

The Security Risk Team:

As a Security Associate, you will be working with a team that manage all security risk in all submarine functions, included analysis on all risks, risk assessment, managing mitigation, creating controls, and return to green plans to reduce the risk scoring. Part of the process will be reporting on risk trending and risk analysis to security management and stakeholders. You will conduct risk assurance a monthly review basis. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.

Many roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting where applicants must typically have 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK depending on the vetting level required for the role, to allow for meaningful security vetting checks.
