Assembly Technician
Location: Fareham
Length: 6 months
The role
Speed Assembly Operator; the successful applicant will manufacture various components and assemblies using recognized processes / skills. You will produce quality finished components and assemblies in accordance with drawings and MBS routings / manufacturing build specifications to aerospace standards.
Responsibility
1. To work efficiently within agreed standards, without supervision.
2. To work accurately and pay attention to detail.
3. To obtain and maintain operator self-inspection capability.
4. To work as a team member with a flexible attitude towards work.
5. To be responsible for housekeeping and tidiness on the shop floor.
6. To be pro-active in aiding the Team Leader / management team in improving the efficiency of the operation in terms of Quality, Cost and Delivery.
7. To be able to set up jigs and fixtures for assembly and test purposes for themselves and Manufacturing Technicians.
8. To be an expert in at least one of the processes with the ability to train others / prepare them for external training and subsequent approval.
9. The ability to actively participate in root cause analysis investigations.
10. The ability to support / advise engineering with regards new product introduction.
