An opportunity has risen within the Wellbeing Centres Service to appoint a member of staff to the role of Physical Activity & Play Instructor.
We are seeking an individual who is committed and energetic with relevant experience of the physical activity & play sector with good delivery and communication skills.
The main duties and responsibilities of the Physical Activity & Play Instructor are:
1. To be responsible for delivering physical activity & play sessions in the Local Authority PA&Play programme.
2. Work with stakeholders and partners in delivering focused sessions for targeted audiences.
3. Ensure the safety and welfare of all users and participants at all times and comply with the Councils policy.
4. Assist in the delivery of inclusive provision throughout the county.
5. Ensure that all activities and operations are carried out in line with operating procedures and H&S policy.
6. To be flexible in terms of working hours.
7. At all times be an ambassador for the Wellbeing Centre Service / Porth Cymorth Cynnar and Ceredigion Council, by assisting communications and/or liaison with staff in service departments, senior management, Local Members, members of the public and other agencies.
8. To attend training and engage in their own continued professional development.
9. Have a good knowledge and understanding of the industry trends in relation to new schemes, programmes and classes.
10. To undertake any other such duties & functions as may be assigned.
