Responsibilities
* Support pupils aged 5-16 at a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) who are permanently excluded or unable to attend due to health needs, with a focus on compassionate and patient support.
* Contribute to targeted interventions and programmes to enable pupils to succeed.
* Assist with safeguarding and welfare of children and young people.
Qualifications
* Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Some experience working with or alongside pupils who may exhibit challenging behaviour (desirable)
* Compassionate, resilient and patient personality
* Great understanding of safeguarding and welfare of children and young people
* Familiar with tailored interventions and programmes used to support children and young people
