Required as soon as possible Reference: 7581 Required at Leiston, Halesworth, Otley and Ipswich Campuses. * We are looking for Learning Support Practitioners to provide essential classroom and workshop support and practical assistance to our students and to play a key role in supporting our teaching staff to deliver an exceptional student experience. As a Learning Support Practitioner, you will work alongside teaching staff, and will be deployed in a range of vocational workshops or classrooms, working with groups of students, or on a one-to-one basis. You will need to have a flexible style and approach, with the ability to build effective relationships with both students and teaching staff, accompanied by the ability to be pro-active and use your initiative. You should have experience of working with young people and an understanding of working with people with Special Educational Needs (SEN). You will need to have a good standard of education, with English and/or Mathematics at Level 2 (GCSE C or 4 grade), with a commitment to achieving Level 2 English or Mathematics if not already obtained. Enhanced hourly rates are available for Learning Support Practitioners undertaking personal care duties. *Suffolk New College is a multi-campus site and therefore whilst you will have a main base, you may be required to work at and travel between campuses.
