JOB TITLE: Technical Sales Engineer

HOURS: 37.5 hours per week, no weekends, half day Fridays

About the role:
Are you a commercially savvy engineer who excels at building client relationships and delivering technical solutions? We're looking for a motivated Technical Sales Engineer to join our successful sales team.
In this role, you'll manage and grow existing accounts while identifying new business development opportunities. From creating technical quotations to translating customer ideas into tangible solutions, you'll play a key role in driving sales growth and ensuring clients receive the highest quality outcomes possible.

The main elements of the role will include:
* Manage and grow existing marine accounts and seek new business development opportunities
* Create and deliver technical quotations and translate customer ideas into tangible solutions
* Attend meetings within the UK and overseas to build client relationships
* Review and negotiate client contracts, terms, and conditions
* Report on performance, risks, opportunities, and commercial outlook to senior management
* Operate as the single point of contact through the sales process
* Collaborate with Engineering Design Team, Production and Test to ensure correct technical outcomes for clients
About the person:
* Proven sales experience in marine and/or industrial power generation markets
* A history of business development/account growth underpinned by proven commercial awareness
* Self-motivated and strategic in approach, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
* Personable and emotionally intelligent with the ability to establish trust and rapport
* Professional communicator with the ability to present to internal and external stakeholders
* Generator/Engine sales experience with technical knowledge to seek solutions
* Full clean UK driving licence required
