We are committed to providing a safe and reliable train service through investments in our fleet, stations, and employees. We are currently recruiting a Platform Assistant at Watford.
What does the job involve?
* Working full-time on a permanent basis, including weekends, early starts, late finishes, and nights
* Assisting customers with journey planning, selling tickets, and providing travel advice
* Processing cash and card payments via ticket vending machines
* Handling difficult situations calmly and customer-focused
* Ensuring station safety by identifying and reporting safety issues
* Delivering excellent customer service
What skills and experience do I need?
* Customer-focused, approachable, and proactive
* Ability to manage conflict and remain calm in challenging situations
* Strong communication skills, adaptable to different audiences
* Flexible with working hours and approach
* Problem-solving skills and initiative
* Reside within a reasonable commute to Watford station; early starts and late finishes require reliable transportation outside of public transport hours
* Must be aged 18 or older for safety reasons
