Offer description

Responsibilities:

1. Verifies insurance eligibility via online resources or phone calls and enters bundles in Avatar.
2. Updates Teletracking with anticipated insurance impact and possible admissions.
3. Completes MSPQ with patients/families for all Medicare patients.
4. Scans patient's insurance card and ID (front and back) and files appropriately.
5. Ensures all information is scanned under the correct episode with accurate benefits.
6. Photographs patients, creates labels, and prints patient bracelets as applicable.
7. Secures patient signatures on financial forms for billing purposes.
8. Notifies Financial Counselor of patients with financial responsibilities for partial hospital admissions.
9. Refers patients to Financial Counselor for guidance on co-pays, payment plans, or financial assistance.
10. Refers patients for collection of copays/deductibles.
11. If credentialed as a Navigator, covers Financial Counselor Level II duties when needed.
12. Uses various software and equipment including Avatar, Microsoft Office suite, Digital Camera, Teletracking, CERNER, PatientTrak, phone systems, and office equipment.
13. Schedule: 40/80 Full-Time Evenings, every other weekend.
