Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to implement care plans and assist with daily living activities, making a significant difference in the lives of those you support.
Duties
* Assist residents or clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support individuals in maintaining their independence by encouraging participation in daily activities.
* Implement care plans as directed by healthcare professionals, ensuring that all needs are met effectively.
* Monitor and report changes in the health or behaviour of residents or clients to the appropriate staff members.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and any observations made during shifts.
* Facilitate communication between residents, families, and healthcare teams to ensure a cohesive approach to care.
* Drive to various locations as required for home care visits, ensuring safe transportation for clients when necessary.
* Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes effectively.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
* A good understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately.
* Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with residents and team members.
* Basic IT skills for documentation purposes and familiarity with electronic health records is advantageous.
* A valid driving licence is desirable for roles that require travel between locations.

Job Types: Permanent, Fixed term contract
Pay: £13.00-£13.40 per hour
