Job Summary
This post is pivotal in ensuring patients are seen in the right place and at the right time, and the hubs where services are provided are running effectively and efficiently. The position will be based in the main hub, but will provide support across the whole service footprint.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive and confidential reception support to SoliHealth services.
* Deal with incoming referrals and arrange patient appointments.
* Coordinate and schedule both pre‑booked and same‑day appointments for SoliHealth services, including Solihull Locality Hub, Solihull Community Skin Service and LARC service.
* Maintain regular direct and indirect contact with patients, carers and relatives.
* Liaise with external agencies such as hospitals, GP surgeries, medical secretaries, health visitors, district nurses and pharmacies.
* Answer telephone calls on behalf of the team and handle patient enquiries politely and efficiently.
* Make appropriate administrative decisions and manage tasks quickly.
* Register new patients onto the TPP SystmOne, scanning referrals, results and clinical correspondence in a timely manner.
* Arrange timely appointments and follow‑ups with appropriate health professionals.
* Prioritise workload, assess and judge work on a priority basis.
* Provide and receive complex information, exercising initiative and judgement for clinical and non‑clinical enquiries.
* Support compliance with CQC and other statutory registration requirements.
* Travel to SoliHealth locations across Solihull as needed.
* Perform any other duties required to support organisational delivery.

Conditions
Offer contingent on eligibility to work in the UK, satisfactory references covering the last three years, and completion of a DBS check where required.

Person Specification
* Education – Good general education (e.g. GCSE/NVQ equivalent Maths and English). Excellent numeracy skills.
* Experience – Minimum two years dealing with confidential information, maintaining office systems, and a similar public sector role.
* Personal Qualities – Excellent time management, confident dealing with people at all levels, self‑motivated, enthusiastic and approachable.
* Practical Circumstances – Ability to travel to multiple sites; willingness to undertake DBS. Full UK driving licence required.

Remuneration and Contract
Salary £12.71 per hour; permanent part‑time contract of 20 hours per week (Monday–Friday).
