DevOps Engineer with strong Kubernetes expereince and ideally expereince of virtualisation projects is needed to support our Higher Education client to implement infrastructure as code pipelines for deploying research-supporting applications within social science applications.
The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for implementing infrastructure as code pipelines for deploying research-supporting applications and associated services on private cloud (on-prem) infrastructure using Virtual Machines and Kubernetes.
Responsibilities
* Experience deploying applications with Kubernetes
* Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines
* Experience with Infrastructure as Code development (Terraform).
* Ability to liaise with end-users to gather requirements, ensuring that application deployments meet their needs and that available resources are used efficiently.
* Expereince of working on Virtualisation projects, awareness of VMware
* Experience of using Ansible and GitHub.
* Knowledge of public/private cloud
* Experience within a Higher Education environment, particularly working with research/academic stakeholders to translate their requirements into technical solutions.
* Knowledge of python and Rstudio or Rancher or Kubernetes cluster on Harvester.
Location & Compensation
Hybrid workign with 1-2 days per week on site in central London
Pay rate £510.00 per day inside IR35
