Process Engineer - Manufacturing
A manufacturing business specialising in rubber moulded components is seeking a Process Engineer to develop, document, and optimise production processes across moulding and assembly operations. This is a hands‑on role supporting new product introduction and ongoing production improvement.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and document manufacturing processes for injection, compression, and transfer moulding
* Define robust process parameters and process flows for new product introduction
* Support tooling development in collaboration with internal and external teams
* Investigate production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
* Support and train production operators on new or updated processes
* Manage process‑related projects and ensure delivery against quality and timing requirements
* Ensure processes meet safety, quality, and performance standards
Requirements
* Experience with rubber moulding processes (injection, compression, or transfer)
* Hands‑on, practical approach to manufacturing problem‑solving
* Ability to interpret and control key quality characteristics of moulded components
* Comfortable working in a production environment and cross‑functional teams
Desirable
* Background in plastics or injection moulding
* Experience in fast‑paced manufacturing environments
* Strong communication and analytical skills
