Our Neighbourhood Officers are at the heart of what we do as an organisation. We have a great opportunity for a Neighbourhood Officer to join our Localities team providing a comprehensive housing management service, working with communities and neighbourhoods around South Lincolnshire and Cambridgeshire. This will include locations such as Peterborough, Wisbech and King's Lynn.
You will be someone who takes a hands‑on approach, helping customers to manage their tenancies and improve our neighbourhoods for everyone. Most of the time you will be out and about in your patch, working closely with customers to promote sustainable tenancies and developing strong relationships with local communities.
Responsibilities
As a Neighbourhood Officer you will be responsible for:
* Visiting customers to provide advice, reviewing tenancies and identifying any problems.
* Regularly inspecting our estates and raising, reporting and monitoring health and safety or safeguarding concerns to a successful conclusion.
* Developing strong relationships within local communities, working collaboratively with other agencies and Platform colleagues.
* Managing and investigating tenancy issues such as anti‑social behaviour, condition of property, fly‑tipping or safeguarding concerns.
* Undertaking new tenancy sign‑ups and accompanied viewings for new homes.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Experience working in the social housing sector, particularly with a background of dealing with tenancy management, ASB and safeguarding.
* Experience working closely with customers to tackle complex issues.
* Proactive, organised and able to prioritise your time to meet timeframes.
* Excellent communication skills and a customer‑focused approach, understanding the importance of delivering a high standard of service.
* Role involves regular travel; a driving licence and use of your own vehicle or alternative means to reach required locations is essential.
* Ideally based in either South Lincolnshire or Cambridgeshire.
* Basic DBS check required.
