We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and resilient SEND Class Teacher to join specialist SEND schools and alternative provisions across Northamptonshire. You will be responsible for leading a class of pupils with a range of additional needs, including SEMH, ASC, PMLD, and complex needs, and making a meaningful difference to their learning and development. This role is ideal for an experienced SEND teacher or a mainstream teacher with a strong commitment to inclusive education who is ready to take on a specialist class-based role. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging, highly differentiated lessons tailored to individual SEND needs Lead a class of pupils with EHCPs, ensuring personalised learning targets are met Create a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environment Implement positive, trauma-informed behaviour strategies and emotional regulation support Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, therapists, and external professionals Monitor progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to reviews and reports Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development The Ideal Candidate Will Have: QTS/QTLS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification Experience teaching pupils with SEND (SEMH, ASC, PMLD, or complex needs) Strong behaviour management skills with a calm and consistent approach The ability to adapt teaching to meet diverse and complex needs Resilience, patience, and a genuine passion for SEND education A DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
