This team includes Occupational Therapists, support workers, sports & fitness staff and peer support workers. Together we provide a comprehensive range of interventions to meet the therapeutic needs of the adult patient group and promote recovery and well-being. We are looking for teachers to provide classes in Maths, English, and ICT across the three care pathways at Arnold Lodge. Each subject requires one day a week of teaching (approximately 7 hours). You will liaise with staff within therapy services and the ward to determine effective methods of delivery for small groups of patients and individuals. You will need to be flexible, organised and demonstrate effective communication skills. To prepare students for examinations in the core subjects as outlined above. To teach English Language learners To teach patients with additional learning needs such as ADHD and dyslexia. To conduct assessments - initial, diagnostic, formative and summative. To prepare Individual Learning plans, lesson plans and schemes of work as required. To provide statistics as required by the Occupational Therapy Operational Manager. Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment. You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies. Please note that this post does not meet the pay or skill level required for a Skilled worker visa. Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of the band in line with Agenda for Change. This salary / skill level is below the minimum required for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa.
