Job Opportunity: MSK Physiotherapy Team Lead

About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and motivated MSK Physiotherapy Team Lead to support the delivery of safe, effective, well‑led, caring, and responsive MSK services across our St Austell clinics. This role blends advanced clinical expertise with opportunities to develop leadership capability, ensuring high‑quality patient care while contributing to the smooth day‑to‑day running of clinic operations.
Alongside managing your own clinical caseload, you will take on responsibilities that build the foundations for future leadership — including supporting junior clinicians, contributing to operational coordination, and collaborating closely with regional leadership teams. Due to commute, a Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
Team Lead position. This includes:
* Exposure to people‑management responsibilities
* Opportunities to support supervisions, CPD sessions, and clinical development
* Involvement in rota planning, operational decisions, and service improvement
* Coaching and mentorship from existing Team Leads and Area Leads
* Structured leadership development aligned with your career goals
Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Team Support
* Provide clinical guidance and support to physiotherapists across clinic sites.
* Contribute to staff development through supervisions, appraisals, and training activities.
* Ensure regular face‑to‑face training, one‑to‑ones, and CPD time are scheduled for each team member.
* Work collaboratively with Team Leads and line managers to develop clinical skills and support internal and external training.
* Support the Regional Lead in maintaining wellbeing, engagement, and satisfaction within the team.
* Assist with annual leave coordination and ensure appropriate clinic cover.
Referring Parties & Business Growth
* Support the team in achieving KPIs for each referring company.
* Ensure clinicians understand the importance of meeting service expectations and contractual SLAs.
* Contribute to the growth of the private caseload by maintaining a strong local reputation and client base.
Estates & Clinic Operations
* Maintain oversight of clinic sites, working with regional support teams on stock, equipment, and maintenance.
* Promote a clean, safe, and professional clinic environment, encouraging all staff to uphold high standards.
* Support regional and national audits to ensure services remain safe, effective, and compliant.
Skills & Competencies
* Accurate, timely, and consistent clinical notes and report writing.
* Strong independent management of a clinical caseload.
* Effective time management and prioritisation.
* Confident handling of more complex MSK cases with minimal senior support.
Knowledge Requirements
* Awareness of diary management and utilisation within a clinical team.
* Understanding of SLAs and expectations for referring companies.
* Knowledge of private caseload management within clinic settings.
* Evidence of ongoing CPD and active participation in company development programmes.
