PA for Teenager – 4 Hrs PW – LS11 – Leeds.
To assist with a variety of tasks which will enable/assist the employer/person who needs care and support to live their personal and social life according to their wishes and interests.
Service user has special needs and (FASD) fetal alcohol syndrome disorder, and this can affect her behaviour and mood. Service user has a doll that she likes to have with her which provides her comfort. Behaviour can be challenging at times mostly when told no or given instructions. Service user can be calmed down by being distracted with words of encouragement or suggesting a different activity.
She enjoys participating in activities and helping people. Service user enjoys watching Youtube (supervision sometimes required), baking and going to the cinema. Loud noises can be sensitive for her at times such as motorbikes or football matches. Service user is funny and pleasant and loves to have a good chat about different topics. She may talk to a lot of people and doesn’t realise stranger danger or may sometimes want to be around peers younger than her but does not realise the age gap so supervision is important.
Service user would like support with understanding the value of money and how to use this appropriately and also to support with being in a social setting and general life skills to build on.
Main duties and responsibilities
Social duties: socialise with family, attend medical appointments, hobbies such as the cinema, any dog events, arcades, bowling or going to white rose for a day out. Going to parks and libraries. Pick up and drop of from college.
Personal care: support with bathing, showering, hair care.
Domestic support: grocery shopping, cooking and understanding how to pay for items.
These duties may vary from day to day.

Hours of work
4 Hours per week term time & 8 hours per week during the school Holidays.
Rate of pay
£12.40 per hour.
