Senior Early Help Worker (Fixed Term)

Bridgend County Borough Council has developed multi professional locality teams to provide a more integrated approach to the provision of services for children, young people and families. The Senior Early Help Worker role supports the management and development of these teams and supporting the team to manage complex cases.
We are looking for an experienced, motivated individual with excellent interpersonal, organisational and leadership skills. The ideal candidate will have experience of working in Early Help, have good knowledge of relevant legislation and national guidance as it relates to children, young people and families and a successful track record of effective multi-agency working. They will need experience of appropriately managing risk and the ability to constructively challenge team members while also developing good working relationships with colleagues.
Support the relevant Early Help Manager in allocating and prioritising the work of the team by overseeing the Joint Assessment Family Framework (JAFF) and Team Around the Family (TAF) processes, ensuring the appropriate assessment of cases in a timely way and deployment of resources to meet identified needs.
The ability to greet customers through the medium of Welsh is a requirement for this post.
Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees.
An Enhanced with Childrens Barred list criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) is a requirement for this post.
