Talent Partner for Veterinary Nurses and Practice Leadership positions with IVC Evidensia

Galemire Vets in Cumbria is seeking a dedicated and motivated Head Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team. If you are ready to step into a leadership role in a well-established and respected practice, this opportunity could be the perfect fit for you.

The role will involve managing a small, dedicated nursing team, providing high-quality patient care, and supporting the clinical team with day-to-day operations. You will be responsible for overseeing nursing duties, maintaining patient care standards, and ensuring that the practice runs smoothly.

Join a Well-Established and Supportive Team

Galemire Vets is a practice committed to continuous growth and maintaining high clinical standards. Our modern, fully-equipped facility includes cutting-edge technology such as digital x-ray, ultrasound, and multiparameter monitoring, all designed to provide the highest level of care for our patients.

We pride ourselves on fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment where every team member's voice is heard, and their contributions are valued. Since 1966, Galemire Vets has been delivering exceptional care to the community, building strong relationships with clients and patients alike.

Located in the heart of the picturesque Western Lakeland Fells, our practice is just a short distance from the stunning Solway Coast. We are only a 5-minute drive from Whitehaven, a charming harbour town, offering a perfect blend of natural beauty and convenient access to local amenities. Whether you enjoy outdoor adventures or prefer a more relaxed lifestyle, Galemire Vets offers the ideal setting for both personal and professional fulfillment.

Additionally, accommodation arrangements are available upon request, providing support for candidates looking to relocate.

Working Hours

We are seeking a Head Veterinary Nurse to join our team on a full-time basis, working 40 hours per week over 5 days with shifts between 8am-7pm. This role offers an excellent work-life balance, with no out-of-hours (OOH) or on-call duties required.

What Skills You'll Bring to Our Team

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced RVN who is ready to take on a leadership role. The ideal candidate will have leadership experience or the desire to step into a management position, along with a passion for providing high-quality patient care and exceptional client service. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are essential, as is a commitment to continuous professional development. We are looking for someone who can mentor and support others in the team, maintain a positive and proactive attitude towards improving clinic standards and clinical procedures, and has a strong interest in developing new skills while contributing to the growth of the practice.
