Principal Teacher of Home Economics
We are looking for an outstanding aspiring or experienced middle leader who can shape, develop and support this department to provide curricular and extracurricular excellence and equity for the young people of Perth Academy.
Salary: £62,022.
Location: Perth Academy, Perth & Kinross Council.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead the Home Economics department, being responsible for all aspects of curriculum development, learning & teaching and the raising of attainment and achievement.
* Have overall and strategic responsibility for the development of the department.
* Liaise effectively with home economics teachers and work collaboratively with others in the school to build a home economics department where young people can attain, achieve and build skills for life and work.
* Play an important role as a middle leader and contribute to whole school improvement.
Requirements
* Drive and enthusiasm and a clear vision for improvement.
* Experience as a middle leader in a large and thriving school community (applicable).
* Qualifications and evidence meeting the essential requirements of the post.
