Operations Manager – Elstow & Cambridge
Permanent | Full-Time | Mon–Fri (flexibility required)
We’re looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead our busy plant at Elstow & Cambridge.
You’ll oversee a complex operation where safety, people leadership and efficiency are key.
What you’ll do
1. Lead, coach and develop a motivated operational team
2. Ensure safe, compliant and efficient running of plant, railhead and recycling operations
3. Manage budgets, stock control and operational KPIs
4. Oversee planned maintenance and statutory inspections
5. Maintain SOPs, risk assessments and safety systems
6. Deliver safety briefings, toolbox talks and support continuous improvement
What we’re looking for
7. Experience managing Asphalt, Aggregates or Ready Mix operations
8. Strong knowledge of H&S, environmental compliance and production processes
9. Confident with SAP and Microsoft Office
10. Ability to manage change, multitask and lead from the front
11. IOSH Managing Safely (essential)
12. Institute of Asphalt Technology membership (desirable)
