Reporting to the Directors, your responsibilities will include:
* Preparing monthly management accounts and reconciliations.
* Creating monthly journals (including payroll) and account analysis and assist with financial year end and audit work.
* Processing and action supplier invoices, sub-contractor valuations and month end payment runs.
* Preparing funding requests, cashflow, P&L and forecasting documents.
* Collating, submitting and approving monthly payroll to our third-party payroll provider.
* Preparing and submitting CIS submissions to HMRC.
* Preparing and submitting monthly VAT returns.
* Ensuring that Balance Sheet accounts, including director’s loan account, are reconciled monthly and any risks highlighted to the Directors.
* Invoicing and maintaining all management fees and shared costs.
* Assisting the Directors to implement business process improvements.
The Successful Applicant
The Management Accountant would ideally come from a construction/property/house building/contractor/sub-contractor or housing association background. They must have management accounts, budgets and forecasting experience with strong excel skills. Applicant should hold with relevant management accounting qualifications (AAT, CIMA, ACCA) or be able to demonstrate relevant experience.
The working week is Monday to Friday - Hours likely to be 8.30am to 4.30pm
Salary negotiable and dependant on experience and qualifications.
