Special Needs Early Years Service Higher Level Teaching Assistant Salary - £36,363 - £40,777 pro rata (Grade 6) Hours - 31.25 hours per week (over 5 days) Contract type - Part Time, Permanent Work Style - Field: working in communities across the city We are seeking to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work within our Special Needs Early Years team, who has experience of working with young children that have Special Educational Needs or Disability. The Special Needs Early Years Service provides support to children from birth to 5 years old within their homes or educational settings where their learning is delayed or where a diagnosis or disability indicates a special educational need. As a service our aim is to provide early intervention for our children and families through working together using a child centred approach. We are looking for someone who is passionate about inclusion and enjoys working alongside children and their families to ensure that any additional needs are identified early and that children are fully supported. Our working arrangements All council roles are allocated to either a fixed, field or flexible work style. Some roles are agile which enable and empower employees to maximise their performance and productivity, whilst maintaining a healthy work life balance. Roles with a fixed workstyle work in a fixed permanent council location. Roles with a field workstyle are usually allocated where employees are required to be out working in the community with a minimum requirement for 'touch down' space at any council location.
