Key Responsibilities
1. Assist the Head Chef in managing and running the kitchen, ensuring team motivation and high standards of food preparation.
2. Support menu development and design, considering the nutritional requirements of Champneys' healthy eating cuisine.
3. Assist in recruiting, managing, training, and evaluating all kitchen staff to meet Champneys' high standards.
4. Take responsibility for kitchen operations in the absence of the Head Chef, including supervising staff.
5. Update the People System regarding staff hours and prepare rotas as instructed.
6. Oversee the preparation and presentation of buffets and menu items.
7. Maintain and improve service standards and operating procedures to maximize guest satisfaction.
8. Ensure staff are trained in and adhere to the Champneys healthy eating philosophy.
9. Maintain high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen, ensuring compliance with legislative standards.
10. Order food supplies, check prices, quality, and quantity, and ensure the use of nominated suppliers.
11. Control departmental food costs and minimize wastage.
12. Utilize APP technology for shift management.
13. Provide professional uniform and ensure availability of free parking at Hotels and Resorts.
