DEPARTMENT/SCHOOL: Estates Department JOB TITLE: Health & Safety Advisor - Compliance & Risk Management SALARY & HOURS: Band 4, £36,074 - £46,810 pa. depending on experience 35 Hours per week Monday to Friday Full time - Permanent Contract Estates Department - University of Buckingham Are you an experienced Health & Safety professional who thrives on identifying risks, driving compliance and delivering practical solutions? The University of Buckingham is seeking a motivated Health & Safety Advisor to support the delivery of a robust compliance and risk management framework across a complex and varied estate. This role offers the opportunity to work across academic facilities, student accommodation, offices, hospitality venues, sports facilities and historic buildings, helping to ensure that the University continues to meet the highest standards of health, safety and regulatory compliance. The Role * Undertaking audits, inspections and compliance reviews. * Supporting departments with risk assessments and safety management systems. * Advising senior managers on health and safety risks and compliance obligations. * Supporting contractor management and monitoring arrangements. * Investigating incidents and identifying improvement opportunities. * Assisting in the development of policies, procedures and governance frameworks. * Delivering health and safety training and awareness initiatives. What We're Looking For: Somone who: * Has experience within a Health & Safety compliance or advisory role. * Possesses strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation. * Has experience conducting audits and risk assessments. * Can analyse complex information and provide practical recommendations. * Has excellent report writing and communication skills. * Holds, or is working towards, a NEBOSH qualification.
