Role: Fidessa Engineer (OMS / EMS Specialist)
Location: London - 100% on-site
Contract Duration: 12 months
Rate: up to £800 p/d (via PAYE)
We are looking for an experienced Fidessa Engineer to join a Trading Technology team focused on modernising equities execution platforms. This contract role will play a key part in integrating an in-house OMS with Fidessa EMS and shaping the transition toward a scalable, multi-EMS / headless EMS architecture.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead the design, build, and deployment of OMS-Fidessa EMS integrations, covering order entry, execution feedback, and allocations.
2. Define and implement FIX connectivity, including session management, execution reports, order routing, and drop copy feeds.
3. Collaborate with Fidessa technical teams to align APIs, feeds, and message schemas with internal OMS standards.
4. Analyse and optimise end-to-end trade workflows from order creation through execution, booking, and reporting.
5. Partner with Front Office, Product, and Risk/Compliance teams to ensure robust trading controls and reporting integrity.
6. Troubleshoot complex OMS-EMS issues related to latency, sequencing, reconciliation, and data consistency.
7. Contribute to architecture and proof-of-concepts for multi-EMS and headless EMS solutions.
