What will the role look like?
This is a new Barca Leeds role in partnership with the West Yorkshire Probation Service, supporting unemployed adults from ethnic minority backgrounds on probation in Leeds.
The role focuses on building trusting relationships and engaging individuals into support, helping them identify barriers to entering work. The worker will assist people in exploring pathways toward training, employment, or education, providing one-to-one support in community settings across Leeds.
An excellent level of cultural awareness is required to work effectively across diverse communities, adapting to their different needs.
What are we looking for?
We seek someone capable of managing a caseload of up to 20 people, offering light-touch support to those exiting the programme, and helping achieve outcomes related to employment and training.
The ideal candidate will have experience supporting clients with work coaching, job searching, CV writing, and interview skills.
Building positive relationships with people is a key skill for this role.
