Children’s Services Assessment Team Manager – Social Work Location: Children’s Services – Assessment Team - Powys County Council Hours: 37 Hours per week Contract: Initially 12 weeks - Potential to extend Salary/Rate: £47 UMBRELLA (£35.78 PAYE) Working alongside Powys County Council, We are looking for an experienced and motivated Team Manager to lead a busy Children’s Services Assessment Social Work Team. This is a key leadership role where you will drive high-quality practice, support staff development, and ensure timely, effective safeguarding responses for children and families. About the Role: As Team Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day running of the Assessment Team, ensuring that referrals, assessments, and child protection enquiries are managed effectively and within timescales. You will provide strong operational and practice leadership in a fast-paced environment focused on safeguarding and early decision-making.
