IT Project Manager

We are seeking a driven and skilled IT Project Manager to join our Edinburgh contract team. You will be responsible for delivering a varied portfolio of projects – with a strong focus on IT – that enhance customer experience, improve operational efficiency, and align with our wider digital strategy.
Projects typically involve close collaboration with stakeholders across the contract and Group Services, ensuring technology is effectively leveraged to meet business goals. From planning and governance to execution and handover, you’ll be at the centre of it all.
What you will be doing:
Manage multiple concurrent projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards
* Define and manage project plans, budgets, risks, and resources
* Ensure alignment with IT strategy and best-practice project governance
* Maintain clear, effective communication with all stakeholders, including external suppliers and internal teams
* Fully document all projects and manage them through to successful live deployment
* Handover projects seamlessly to Operations teams
* Provide occasional backfill for the Client Account Manager
* Manage teams responsible for systems delivery, training, and data oversight
What we are looking for:
Technically minded with a solid understanding of how IT drives business outcomes
* An excellent communicator with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders
* Highly organised, independent, and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
* Experienced in working within both operational and project-based environments
* Passionate about delivering robust and resilient services in a customer-focused environment
* Strong knowledge of the full project lifecycle
* Business and systems analysis skills
* Experience managing IT implementations across new and existing sites
* Understanding of technologies used in retail or customer-facing channels
* Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
* Experience managing cross-functional teams and external suppliers
* PRINCE2 or ITIL Foundation certification (not essential, but beneficial)
* Industry knowledge of retail, infrastructure, or public service environments
Please Note: This role is site-based across multiple locations in Edinburgh and may require occasional travel between them.
