This is an excellent opportunity for Infrastructure Designer professionals to be part of leading-edge technology projects. Cognizant’s Cloud, Infrastructure & Security Services Practice provides end-to-end solutions covering architecture, design, implementation, management, and ongoing support across the entire enterprise technology infrastructure. Our services include a spectrum of management, consulting, and systems integration services to help our clients maximize value in their infrastructure resources, while optimizing infrastructure performance and cost.
Responsibilities
1. Create and develop high-level and detailed infrastructure designs.
2. Assess infrastructure costs within agreed solutions.
3. Responsible for creating adoption roadmaps, reusable design patterns & standards, hardware & software Standard Operating Environments (SOE).
4. Develop operational and use case models for new technologies.
5. Ensure design governance to maintain ongoing reliability, quality, and adherence to architectural strategies & roadmaps.
6. Provide consultancy during project estimating processes; including person-day costs, high-level design, and impact analysis.
Required Skills
* Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary environment.
* Support the rationale behind financial cost estimates for project scope.
* Effective communication skills for stakeholders at all levels.
* Knowledge supporting the design & architectural governance process, with technical experience in:
* Operating systems: Windows Server, Red Hat Linux
* Services: TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, Active Directory
* Databases: Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle
* Messaging/Collaboration: Exchange, MS Teams, SharePoint Online
* Virtualisation: VMWare ESXi
* Desktop: Windows
* Cloud & Azure knowledge
* Skills to support & deliver continuous improvement within organizational capabilities.
Additional Skills
* Experience designing solutions in financial services environments to meet business-critical needs.
* Knowledge of agile development environments as well as traditional waterfall delivery models.
