For 60+ years, the British Heart Foundation (BHF) has been dedicated to transforming the nation’s heart and circulatory health. As our income and support grow, we need access to the right systems, tools, and insightful data. Our Enterprise Foundations (EF) Programme aims to provide the best technology systems to support our work.
Comprising four workstreams: Retail, Finance, Customer, and Data Architecture and Reporting, this programme will deliver innovative technologies, improved systems, and data to lay the foundation for increasing our income and supporting lifesaving breakthroughs for millions.
As our Lead Learning & Development Specialist, you will support BHF in successfully delivering this organisation-wide Enterprise Foundations programme.
You will lead, design, manage, and evaluate engaging learning experiences to enhance colleagues' skills. Your role will involve helping colleagues adopt changes to key systems, processes, ways of working, and culture, ensuring BHF achieves its transformation goals.
You will collaborate closely with key stakeholders in the Enterprise Foundation Change Programme, third-party partners, the wider Learning & Development team, business leaders, and subject matter experts to drive learning initiatives aligned with transformation objectives.
Working arrangements
Please note this is a 12-month fixed-term contract.
This role is blended, with work conducted both remotely and at our London Office.
Colleagues on blended contracts are expected to spend some time in the office, approximately one day per week, depending on role requirements. Flexibility is essential to maximize your effectiveness for our cause.
About you
You are experienced in designing and delivering complex learning programmes, covering both technical skills (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, Azure, Power BI) and behavioural skills (e.g., communication). You have managed multi-audience, multi-stage learning initiatives and developed online and virtual learning resources.
You are a versatile L&D Specialist with technical training experience, quick to learn new technologies, and capable of working directly with subject matter experts without being overwhelmed by jargon.

* Understand business needs and analyze training requests
* Possess excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and remotely
* Lead projects from inception to completion confidently
* Have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage diverse stakeholders and collaborate effectively
Interview process
Interviews will be held in person at our London offices on Tuesday 6th and Wednesday 7th May. The process includes a competency-based Q&A and a pre-prepared training workshop, with details provided to shortlisted candidates.
