SEND 1:1 Teaching Assistants - Mainstream Primary Schools across Sutton Location: Sutton, Surrey, South London Contract: Flexible long-term contracts available Are you passionate about making a real difference to children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) ? Tradewind Recruitment have a wealth of opportunities available for experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to support children with varying mild, moderate and severe learning difficulties in mainstream primary school settings. The Role: Provide 1:1 tailored support for your assigned pupil in Year 1 Be confident to support SEND, including ASD, ADHD, Emotional Dysregulation Support learning, emotional regulation, and social development Work alongside class teachers and SENCOs to implement EHCP target and support plan Adapt learning resources to meet individual needs of the child Promote a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment The Ideal Candidate: Holds at least a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or 3 desirable) Has previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within SEND or inclusion Confident supporting pupils with additional needs in a mainstream primary setting Patient, empathetic, and committed to pupil progress and wellbeing Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply) Available Monday to Friday (part-time roles still require weekday availability) Why Work with Tradewind?
