JOB TITLE: Project Supervisor Building DEPARTMENT: Engineering REPORTING TO: Project Manager Building HOURS OF WORK: 37.5 hours per week Monday Friday, 8.00 a.m. 4.00 p.m. CONTRACT: Permanent About the Job This is an exciting opportunity for a person wishing to develop their career in the building construction industry; as a Project Supervisor the successful candidate will be part of a high performing team building BIAs (Belfast International Airport) future infrastructure. The successful candidate will play a key role in the airports future, supporting the planning and execution of strategically important projects within a live airport operational environment. These projects include building extensions, reconfigurations, repairs and upgrades in airside and landside environments. Job Purpose The job holder will primarily be responsible for supervising and planning works in order to achieve any prescribed Key Performance Indicators in relation to Programme, Quality, Safety, Environment and Budget. Main Duties 1. Deliver front-line management and supervision of works in line with the Project Manager direction. 2. Support the Project Manager with the logistical, technical and commercial management of the project(s) to meet the overall business objectives 3. Support the project team in the design, procurement, construction, delivery, and handover of the project to achieve desired business outcomes. 4. Responsible as the day-to-day point of contact for contractors and facilitate communication between airport departments, business partners, consultants, and contractors. This will involve daily and weekly briefings with accurate record keeping. These briefings will include formation and communication of lookahead schedules to stakeholders. 5. Contribute and work to the development and maintenance of a culture of excellent health, safety, and environmental standards across the project and its associated contractors to deliver the highest levels of health, safety, and environmental performance achievable. 6. Assist in the identification and mitigation of risks that may adversely impact project delivery or adversely affect airport operations through the project/programme lifecycle. 7. Work collaboratively with the Projects Team to deliver the assigned project to defined cost, schedule, and quality requirements, leading the successful handover of assigned projects to the Operational Departments. 8. Ensure compliance with all legal and statutory obligations applicable to this role, including all standards and code compliance, and required planning permissions. 9. Positively influence key stakeholders (both internal & external) associated with the project. 10. Play an active part in lessons Identified process across all projects and embed a culture of continuous improvement. 11. Troubleshooting in conjunction with airport departments, business partners, consultants, and contractors. 12. Ability to work flexible hours to facilitate any out of hours activity as and when required 13. Respond/assist to any emergency appropriately, and participate in any Emergency Exercise, as detailed in the Emergency Orders within the aerodrome manual. 14.
